Job Duties:

To complete the work that is assigned to his/her route in an efficient and safe manner.  A technician’s route will consist of a mixture of installs, upgrades, downgrades SRO and TC.  The technician will need to show up to work at the agreed upon time to look over his route in the morning and plan his day.  This will include evaluating his material and equipment needs for the day.  The technician will need to ensure that they have enough materials IE (fittings, splitters and wire on their truck to complete the route.  The technician will need to have enough extra materials incase additional jobs are picked up.)  Evaluate the equipment needed to complete the route and ensure that there is enough on the truck.  The technician will be responsible for meeting the customer expectations while completing the work to TNT specs.  When arriving at job the tech will greet the customer and go over the work order to verify accuracy.  The tech will then complete the work to TNT specs.  This will include but not limited to activating outlets, adding outlets, running new drops, setting equipment, communicating with dispatch and customer education on services installed.  The tech will need to verify that all services are working correctly with the customer before completing the job.  The tech will be responsible to making sure all codes are correct before completing the Work Order.  Technicians will only be compensated for codes that are in both ICOMs and Penguin.  The technician will be responsible for tracking, setting and returning equipment that is assigned to him from the warehouse and items removed off the customer’s account while at the customer premise.  If items are lost or stolen the technician will be responsible for the cost of the lost damaged or stolen equipment.  Performance matrix will be shared with the technician and a level of excellence will be expected.  Local markets will provide the specific performance matrix and the expected goals for each matrix.  Continuing education is shared out in a variety of ways, meetings, emails and phone calls.  The technician is expected to stay on top of new products and services offered by the MSO.

Part-Time Transportation Security Officer (TSO) 

The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) is hiring part-time Transportation Security Officers at Eppley Airfield (OMA) and Lincoln Municipal Airport (LNK). Paid, ongoing training will be provided; no experience is required.

Eppley Airfield (OMA) Salary Information: The current starting hourly rate for this position is $17.19.   The salary includes  locality pay of 15.37%  and a retention incentive of 10% of basic pay that is unique to this duty location.  In order to recruit and retain highly qualified employees at this location, TSA has approved the payment of a bi-weekly retention incentive.  The continuation of the incentive portion of this hourly rate is contingent upon annual approval and funding.  

Lincoln Municipal Airport (LNK) Salary Information:  The current starting hourly rate for this position is $15.63. The salary includes locality pay of 15.37%.  

Transportation Security Officers (TSOs) provide security and protection of air travelers, airports and aircraft in a courteous and professional manner.  This includes:

· Operating various screening equipment and technology to identify dangerous objects in baggage, cargo and on passengers, and preventing those objects from being transported onto aircraft.

· Performing searches and screening, which may include physical interaction with passengers (e.g., pat-downs, search of property, etc.), conducting bag searches and lifting/carrying bags, bins, and property weighing up to 50lbs.

· Controlling terminal entry and exit points.

· Interacting with the public, giving directions and responding to inquiries.

· Maintaining focus and awareness while working in a stressful environment which includes noise from alarms, machinery and people, crowd distractions, time pressure, and disruptive and angry passengers, in order to preserve the professional ability to identify and locate potentially life threatening or mass destruction devices, and to make effective decisions in both crisis and routine situations.

· Engaging in continuous development of critical thinking skills, necessary to mitigate actual and potential security threats, by identifying, evaluating, and applying appropriate situational options and approaches.  This may include application of risk-based security screening protocols that vary based on program requirements.

· Retaining and implementing knowledge of all applicable Standard Operating Procedures, demonstrating responsible and dependable behavior, and is open to change and adapts to new information or unexpected obstacles.

Conditions of Employment

· Be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. National at time of application submission

· Pass a Drug Screening and Medical Evaluation
