PRIMARY PURPOSE & FUNCTION

The Laborer is responsible for preparing and cleaning job sites, unloading and loading materials, operating tools and equipment, and maintaining all site health and safety regulations

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES

 Ensure proper materials and Person Protective Equipment is correct and provided

 Knowledge of all work and materials to be used ahead of time on job site

Job Title:  Parts Counter Person

Sells heavy duty truck and trailer parts and equipment in repair facility or parts store by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

· Ascertains make year, and type of part needed, inspects worn, damaged, or defective part to determine replacement required, or advises customer of part needed per description of malfunction. Discusses use and features of various parts. Reads catalog, microfiche viewer, or computer for replacement part stock number and price. Fills customer orders from stock. Prepares sales slip or sales contract. Receives payment or obtains credit authorization. Wraps or bags merchandise for customers. Advises customer on substitution or modification of part when replacement is not available. Examines returned part to determine if defective and exchanges part or refunds money. Marks and stores parts in stockroom per prearranged system. Collects money from COD customers and records transactions on customer receipt. Receives and fills telephone orders for parts. Takes inventory of stock. Prepares parts for shipping via UPS, Fed-Ex, or LTL. Determines specific pricing level for customer based upon volume potential. Assist walk-in customers in selecting required parts, suggest companion requirements, offer specials, and ensure that the customer is exposed to the full product line. If the part is not in stock, determine availability and submit an emergency order if requested by the customer. Assist outside sales representatives with their orders. Set up orders for daily shipment, delivery, or pick-up. Solicit assigned accounts by phone. Assist service technicians in selecting parts needed for repairs in process.  Be friendly, professional and efficient when working with all customers, both on the phone and in person. Provide the same high level of service to the other dealership departments as is given to other customers. Issue credit for parts returned, ensuring that the original invoice, or its number, is available so that purchase and pricing can be verified. Exceptions must be approved by the Parts Manager or Assistant. Ensure that all charge sales are signed by the customers. When making tax-exempt sales other than to a charge or cash account, ensure that the customer’s full name, address, ICC number, and signature is obtained. Present the customer with the white copy of the invoice after removing the “tear strip”. When doing business with regular cash customers, ensure that their “cash amount” numbers are recorded to assure proper customer tracking. Keep front and rear counter areas clean and uncluttered. Advise Parts Manager when areas of the department are not in satisfactory condition. Keep current on new products and product updates. Participate in all training programs that are made available. If customers pay by invoice, obtain the following information: Form of payment (if by check, include check number), amount of payment, received by (your name), date, and any change given. Working with all departments in harmony. Must have a working knowledge and understanding of the company’s Job Safety Analysis pertaining to this position. Pick up parts and equipment from customers, satellite stores, and vendors, to be coordinated with the Parts Manager, Inventory Control Administer, Parts Counter people, or Shipping and Receiving Clerk before leaving.  Complete a log at the time of delivery and request recipient’s signature. Turn in all paperwork and undelivered parts. Help maintain the professional appearance of the parts department. Wash outside of truck weekly. Participate in all available training programs. Be responsible for the basic upkeep of the truck: check oil with each fill-up, ensure that the truck is lubricated the first week of each month, and get annual safety inspections before they are due. Operate a forklift. Examine all parts and materials when picking up from local suppliers. Working with all departments in harmony. Stephens & Smith Construction Concrete Wall Craftsman

Foundations Craftsman (FC) is required to have an experienced and exceptional skill level to perform, at an advanced level, all laborer functions of the job as outlined below. FC may assist Supervisor in training and mentoring employees. FC will be responsible to assist in the completion of assigned paperwork. FC must demonstrate proven leadership and maintain and guarantee Stephens & Smith quality, work ethics, and safety standards.

FC will be accountable to report to Supervisor. Functions may include but not limited to:

  • Working side-by-side and      performing at an advance level job functions of Field Personnel.
  • FC must possess advanced      carpentry and field personnel technical skills to include but not limited      to:
  • Measuring forms and proper      placement of forms
  • Installation of rebar, wooden      bucks, prefab windows, beam pockets, anchor bolts, and other embedments
  • Proper placement of      consolidation of concrete
  • Knowledge and ability to      properly operate tools and equipment in safe and professional manner to      include but not limited to: Builder’s Levels, Theadolites and power hand      tools

FC may clean and prepare sites cleaning up rubble, debris and other waste materials. FC is responsible to assist laborers in loading and unloading of materials and equipment. FC is responsible for tracking materials used, equipment/tools and assigned resources for each project in such a manner that the highest quality work practicable is provided within the shortest time feasible with no safety violations or accidents within the established budgets.

FC will immediately correct unsafe conditions or behavior within the scope of his/her ability under the direction of Supervisor. FC will report accidents, unsafe conditions and/or behavior to Director of Safety. FC will demonstrate leadership by example when applying work practices that comply with safety and human resources policies and practices. Maintain and guarantee Stephens & Smith Mission Statement, work ethics, quality/safety and human resources practices and standards.

• Sprays surfaces of truck with acid compound to clean truck and drum in accordance with company standards.
• Reads, understands and complies with the Safety Manual and Employee Manual.
• Understands that attendance and punctuality are required each day of work.

CDDT is the longest running CDL training program in Omaha, having been training since 1971.  We offer full and half day classes and part time evenings and Saturdays.  


The schedule options are:Full time days Mon-Fri 8am-4:30pm (4 weeks), Part time days would be either Mon-Fri 8am-12pm or Mon-Fri from 12:30pm-4:40pm (8 weeks),Part time nights and Saturdays Mon-Thur 4pm-6pm and Saturdays 8am-4:30pm (10 weeks).  The evening classes have changed for daylight savings time but will return to Mon-Thur 4pm-8pm (no Saturday) when daylight savings ends.

  • We start new classes every Monday. program is 160 hours of training, but will offer an extra 40 hours of training at no additional cost to the student if necessary.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

Berkshire Hathaway Homestate Companies has several openings for Utilization Review Specialists in our Omaha, NE. office. The Utilization Review Specialist ensures all aspects of an injured worker’s treatment requested by a provider is medically appropriate and is reviewed in compliance with state laws and company policies.

RESPONSIBILITIES

· Triage and manage intake coordination of medical treatment authorization requests.

· Reviews authorization requests for approval in accordance with evidence based medical treatment guidelines.

· Research claim file in relation to the requested medical treatment and interpret medical reports while utilizing critical thinking, and applies appropriate established guidelines to requested treatment.

· Advocate for the injured worker and claims department, ensuring proposed treatment requests are appropriate for the diagnosis.

· Escalate treatment requests outside of authorization authority for UR Nurse review.

· Ensures that utilization review processes are performed in accordance with the time limits and other requirements set by state law and company policy.

· Routinely contacts providers to clarify treatment requests, examination findings, as well as obtain additional medical information as needed.

· Gains and maintains a thorough understanding of company policies regarding the review of authorization requests by Utilization Review Specialists.

· Establishes and maintains a close, positive communication relationship and working partnership with Medical Bill Review staff to ensure effective and efficient integrated medical management of treatment provided to injured workers.

· Fosters a positive and close working relationship with other Company staff, including the claims staff, nurse case management, special investigations, legal, liens, the call center, and client services.

· Maintains patient confidentiality and safeguards protected health information in accordance with state and federal laws and company policies.

· Enters clear, concise, and accurate documentation of requested medical treatments to include clinical findings, treatment guidelines, and determination.

· Ensures that appropriate notices are forwarded to medical providers, injured workers, claims staff, and attorneys.

· Provide general office or administrative support throughout department.

· Proactively communicate any problems or issues that may adversely impact a client or the company directly to the supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS

· BS, or Associates degree from an accredited college or technical school in a medical field; or at least six months of relevant experience and training in a medical field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

· LPNs, CNAs, EMTs, Radiologist Techs, Surgical Techs encouraged to apply

· Able to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, statues, regulations, medical reports, medical coding, medical bills, financial reports, and legal documents. Able to respond to technical inquiries or complaints from Company employees, external sources, and regulatory or auditing entities. Able to effectively present information and respond to questions with managers, clients, claimants, attorneys, medical providers, and others. Able to write clear, effective correspondence on complex medical issues to people from all walks of life.

· Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Able to compute rate, ratio, and percent. ·

· Able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Able to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Medical Network Coordinator/Credentialing Position

BASIC   FUNCTION

The Medical Network Coordinator will be   responsible for the development, oversight, and performance of the Company’s   medical networks and panels with the goal of providing injured workers with   effective and efficient medical care for the treatment of their compensable   injuries.

· Participate in the selection of vendors and providers of   network and panel services; participate in the creation and negotiation of   contracts with them; and manage those contractual services and   obligations. 

· Foster a positive and close working relationship with other   Company staff, including the adjusting staff, utilization review, medical   bill review, nursing services, special investigations, legal, lien   resolution, the call center, and client services.

· Provide information and support regarding medical networks and   panels in general and regarding issues arising from specific medical   treatment to other Company staff. 

· Provide oversight and analytics of selected providers within   the Company’s Medical Provider Networks. Work in tandem with Company’s data   analysts in creating and enhancing outcome measurements.
